গত ১২ই আগষ্ট অল ডালাস এরিয়া মুসলিম সোসাইটি (এডামস) তরুন তারুন্য বাংলাদেশী আমেরিকান মোহম্মদ আজরাফ উল্লাহকে "ঈগেল কোর্ট অব অনার" সন্মাননা উৎসবের আয়োজন করে। মুলধারার সন্মানিত সরকারী কর্মকতা, রাজ্য সিনেট সদস্য গন্যমান্য অতিথিবর্গের উপস্থিতিতে   কংগেসম্যান প্যাট সেসন ইউএস ক্যাপিটালে উত্তলিত ইউএস পতাকা এবং স্টেট ডেলিগেট টম রাস্ট ভার্জিনিয়ার রাজধানী রিচমন্ডে উত্তেলিত ইউএস পতাকা আজরাফকে প্রদান করেন।

 একজন বাংলাদেশী আমেরিকানের  স্কাউট আন্দোলনের শীর্ষ পর্যায়ের এই অর্জনের  বিস্তারিত তথ্য তুলে ধরা হল(ইংরেজীতে)।
 
August 12th, 2012: All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS)celebrated one of its own
 Mohammad Azraf Ullah’s Eagle Court of Honor atSterling, Virginia.  Azraf is the son of Bangladeshi immigrant parents Mohammad Ahsan Ullah and Khadija Enayetullah. Hehas built three Flagpoles at ADAMS center for his Eagle Scout Project.  The occasion was celebrated with Flag lesInauguration, Raising the Flags and Interfaith Ifter.  This is the first time ever a US flag wasflown on an Islamic institution over an Eagle Scout Project.

Family,friends, Boy Scout officials, interfaith guests and Government officials started to gather around at ADAMS center and they observed Asr prayer at 5:30pm.  At the sound of the Bugle by Scouter James, everybody gathered around the flag poles. Scouts from Troop 1576 walked to the poles with US Flag, Virginia Flagand Troop 1576 flag.  The US flag was presented to Azraf by US Congressman Pete Sessions and this flag was flown on US Capitol on the 1st Day of August 2012.  The VA flag was presented to Azraf by VA Delegate Tom Rust and it was flown over the State Capitol inRichmond, Virginia.

TheUS Flag and then VA and ADAMS flag were raised while scouts saluted the US flag and other attendees placed their right palm across their heart. Attendeesalso recited the pledge of allegiance once the flag had been raised.

Executivedirector of ADAMS Imam Magid delivered the invocation for this occasion. The Eagle Court of Ceremony (ECOH) commenced right after the invocation and guests wereasked to return to the tent by the sound of bugle.   ECOH was assisted by scouts of Troop 1576,Scout Master Mohammed Salem, Delegate J. Randall Minchew, EagleScout Sahal Tahir, Rizwan Jaka and parents of Azraf Ullah.  Azraf had to recite the Scout Oath toreconfirm himself as a scout.  DelegateRandy, is also an avid scouter declared Azraf as an Eagle Scout.  Azraf was awarded with Eagle emblem by ScoutMaster Mohammed Salem.  He was awardedwith Eagle certificate by his father and father also helped him wear the EagleScarf.


 Azraf put an ‘Eagle Mom Pin’ to hismother and gave mentor pins to Rijwan Jaka, Mohammed Salem, Emily Smith andMohammad Ahsan Ullah.  He thanked his sister,gave an Eagle Necklace, and awarded several ‘Thank You Pin’ to the attendees.  Rep. Pete Sessions for US flag, Delegate Rustfor the Virginia Flags, Senator Janet Howell for commendation of Senate ofVirginia, Delegate Ken Plum and Delegate Barbara Comstock for Commendation fromHouse of Delegates of Virginia, Leesburg Mayor Kristen Umstattd forProclamation were acknowledged.

Azraf  graduated fromHerndon High School with advanced diploma this year. He decided to go toNothern Virginia Community College instead of Virginia Commonwealth Universityto pursue his career in Public Service. Some of the highlights of his scouting career were: he had been back toback Senior Patrol Leader for three years, he assisted building mosque atGoshen Scout Reservation, invited to attend President Obama’s inauguration,marched on the Boy Scout Centennial parade, invited to speak ‘Good Scout Dinner‘ and ‘Scout District Dinner’. He has been active in civic and publicservices.  On several occasions he servedat the DC Food Kitchen, distribute blankets for homeless, helped ‘Herndon forHunger’, participated and spoke several occasion in 911 Unity Walk.  He is an active participant of interfaithactivities and ‘law enforcement appreciation’ activities.  He was a President of Muslim Student Association(MSA), Vice President of Student Government Association (SGA), President of theAsian Club at Herndon High School. He is currently representing ADAMS YouthCouncil and was a past editor for their newsletter.  He is the graduate of Muslim Affairs PublicCouncils (MPAC) and MuslimAmerican Citizens Coalition & Public Affairs Council (MACCPAC)and has been representing youth locally and nationally.  He spent last spring as an intern for US congressionalrepresentative and intern for local Virginia senator last fall.  He is a graduate of ADAMS Children EducationProgram (CEP) and Youth Education Program (YEP).  He also participated in the debatecompetition by MAFIQ Foundation, youth seminar and camp  by Muslim Youth of North America (MYNA) andMuslim Interscholastic Tournament (MIST). He recently started the ADAMS Muslim Civic Engagement group to assistyouth to get internships in Local, State and Federal institutions. He worked atADAMS as an assistant teacher to the ADAMS summer camp for the last three yearsand as an assistant teacher to the ADAMS Young Muslim Evening School (YMES) last summer. Heis an inspiring poet, artist, songwriter and a musician.

His dream is to be the President of The U.S. someday and heis determined to achieve it.
